GDUSA's American Printing Awards™
EXCLUSIVELY FOR AMERICAN PRINTERS
DEADLINE: JUNE 30, 2011
The editors of Graphic Design USA announce
a new annual competition, GDUSA's American Printing Awards™,
a national competition open exclusively for U.S. printers who
serve the creative community.
Co-branded by the legendary Graphic Arts Blue Book, this
printing awards program is fresh and unique in its emphasis.
Like other printing awards, great printing is honored first and
foremost. But unlike any other program, this is not printers talking
to other printers, but printers getting the recognition they
deserve from clients and prospects.
The unique focus will be on:
PRINT PROJECTS AND CATEGORIES THAT
MATTER MOST TO THE CREATIVE COMMUNITY
PRINT EXECUTION THAT RESPECTS AND ENHANCES THE DESIGN
MAKING SURE THAT REAL DESIGNERS AND REAL PRINT BUYERS
WITH REAL BUDGETS ACTUALLY SEE THE WINNING WORK
In short, our goal is to bring great printers to the attention of designers and other print buyers. Winners will have the unique opportunity to be seen by new prospects and attract new customers – with exposure to the creative and the printing community all at once. Thia includes being eligible to appear in GDUSA's Annual, to be published in December, in our Online Awards Annual on our popular website, and featured on the gabb.com website.
JUDGING
Roger Ynostroza, the inaugural Chief Judge, is one of the most
respected editors ever to cover the graphic arts. Of GDUSA's
American Printing Awards, Roger says: “In today's very
competitive communication marketplace, print production is no
longer a contest of who can hold the smallest dot gain or lay
down the heaviest ink coverage. It's about great printers
executing great design. Considering today's extremely
challenging business conditions, I'm convinced it's exactly
the right emphasis.”
