For nearly five decades, GDUSA has sponsored
national competitions that spotlight the most
important, fastest-growing and valuable areas of
design for business and society. Our well-established
programs and annuals – focusing on Graphic
Design, Inhouse Design and Package Design –
have provided long-deserved recognition to
award-winning creatives.
Over the past few years,
the American Web Design Awards has taken its
rightful place, especially as online design has
grown quickly into the second most frequent source
of projects for professional graphic designers.
According to our Spring 2012 reader survey, fully
72 percent of you have worked on web design and
related projects – and, certainly, much of
the energy and growth in the field is in this arena.
Our competition celebrates the power of well-designed
websites and other online communications to attract
audiences, generate engagement and response, and
promote products, services and ideas. Today, we
announce the winning firms of the 2012 American
Graphic Design Awards. The more than 200 winning
designs, including creative credits and their URLs,
are also being unveiled this week on our website,
and will remain there for an entire year. Here are
a handful of winners to whet your appetite.
