GDUSA ENEWS PREVIEW: ON DEMAND EXPO 2010

PUBLISHERS NOTE: PRINT OPPORTUNITIES
The On Demand Show, perennially the largest digital printing
and production event in North America, holds special promise
and excitement this year. It will focus on print opportunities
in an interactive era, with special emphasis on helping
printers and designers take advantage of digital printing
technologies, personalization and we-to-print to secure
their place in the future of graphic communications. Here
is a brief preview of the event.
Special thanks to Konica Minolta for
sponsoring this preview. Konica Minolta is a sponsor of the
On Demand Expo and will be introducing the first in a new
generation of digital color presses, as well as displaying
its full line of production print systems and solutions. And
thanks, too, to the On Demand Expo organizers for arranging

ANOTHER PHILADELPHIA REVOLUTION
The On Demand Conference & Exposition will take
place April 20-22, 2010 at the Pennsylvania Convention
Center in Philadelphia. It's an appropriate venue, because
the event seeks to spark a revolution in the current print
business model. As described by Tom Bliss, Group Conference
Director for Questex Media Group, producers of the
event: "The digital transformation of the marketing,
publishing, transaction printing, photo printing, and
package printing industries continues to gather steam. We
have gathered the best and brightest minds in the industry
to talk candidly about the future of the industry and the
rethinking of business models that's occurring as
communications of all kinds continue to move online."
BEST AND BRIGHTEST
The lineup of the best and brightest starts with Jeff Hayes,
President of InfoTrends, will deliver the State of the
Industry Address: Print Opportunities in an Interactive World.
Hayes will kick off a series of speakers who will provide
insight and perspective on the future of the industry. Immediately
following the InfoTrends presentation, there will be an
all-star keynote panel comprised of some of the world's top
chief marketing officers and senior marketing executives from
leading brands and Fortune 500 companies. The panel will examine
where print fits in this new marketing landscape, how their
marketing strategies have shifted over the past year or two,
how they're likely to evolve in the near term based on the
economy, and what they'll be looking for from their print and
other marketing vendors in the months and years ahead.
