BLUE SKY

Our 50th annual Print Design survey appears in the May/June magazine, on the website, and is available as a free App. For this milestone, instead of getting into the weeds, we focused on blue sky big picture stuff: how important is print to your business, do you enjoy designing for print, how is print evolving, what does the future hold? Thousands of responses, broad themes, lots of comments, and nothing that will trigger an NSA or IRS investigation. I hope.

Two housekeeping matters. First, in the next magazine we plan to feature select “green” design firms. By which we mean firms that operate sustainably and/or have developed an expertise in green messaging. If you qualify in either sense, please let us know at the email address below. Second, our 50th Anniversary American Graphic Design Awards is still open for entries. It is our last major competition for 2013, and the biggest and brightest yet.
