Each year, the National Conference for Community and Justice honor a leader in the paper industry with a Humanitarian Award. This year, the award goes to Arthur M. Keleher and it will be presented at a dinner at The Hilton New York scheduled for April 12 to coincide with the American Forest & Paper Association convention. The honoree is former president and ceo, Frank Parsons Paper, and the event co-chairs are William Frohlich of NPTA and Tim Needham of Smart Papers.

The annual meeting of the Picture Archive Council of America. The rejuvenated nonprofit association of stock archives has lots of informational and educational events planned including a presentation by Adobe and a special panel discussion sponsored and coordinated by Getty Images. Move: Stories in Motion is the theme of a two day AIGA New York Chapter design conference that hopes to “explode the definition of motion graphics and expand the boundaries of storytelling.” The event showcases work by artists, filmmakers, designers, music-video directors, VJs, musicians and EFX wizards.
