She comes to the magazine from Sports Illustrated Women, where she executed an award-winning redesign. Before that, she was art director at YM Magazine and, earlier, an associate art director at Vanity Fair. Business 2.0 is published by the Fortune Group at Time Inc.

Capsule is a Twin Cities-based strategic brand development firm known for its work with clients such as Lund's, Byerly's, Schroeder Milk, Harmon Inc., Red Wing Shoes, Red River Riders and Target Corporation.

Weinberg brings over 20 years of experience, and has established a highly regarded track record of creative work for various accounts, including American Express, AT&T, Honda Motor Company, Pioneer Electronics, MCI, Merrill Lynch, Sports Illustrated Magazine and many others. Previously, Weinberg worked at several major advertising agencies on both coasts, including Ogilvy & Mather, Wunderman Worldwide, Y&R, Bozell Worldwide and The Lord Group.

Sun Prairie WI: CTI Paper USA, a leading supplier of premium papers for commercial markets, has appointed Marty Jo Henry to the newly created position of business development representative, Northeast region. Henry has been working since early summer to position CTI's The Fine Paper Collection within the New York and New England graphic design and print communities, as well as collaborating with the company's paper merchant partners to mutually grow their businesses. Henry joins the company following various roles with Unisource, including specification sales representative and advertising and sales promotion manager.

Bennington NH: Monadnock Paper Mills appoints David E. Rousse to the position of vice president, graphic arts papers. In this role, Rousse will work to grow Monadnock's printing and imaging paper sales. He comes to the mill from FiberMark, where he spent six years as division vice president and general manager responsible for office products, technical specialities and research and development. Richard Verney, the venerable paper mill's chairman, president and ceo, is excited by the hire: "Dave's experience in premium printing paper sales and marketing brings an added level of expertise to Monadnock."

Portland OR: ID, an identity-driven branding agency, names Gerald Tucker as vice president and creative director. Tucker moves from Austin TX, where he had been vice president of creative services for SicolaMartin, a division of Young & Rubicam. He has developed and managed branded communications programs for IBM, Motorola and Compaq, among others, and will lead ID in areas including naming and identity, interactive and environmental branding and advertising.

He works with graphic designers, printers and paper merchants in the Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego areas to promote the paper company's The Fine Paper Collection. He comes aboard after a series of jobs of increased responsibility at Spicers Paper, including specification sales representative, promotions manager and inside sales representative. Says president Brian Cowie: "We recognize the importance of the West Coast design community and felt we could best serve this market through a regionally-dedicated representative."

Black has more than a dozen years of sales experience in printing and related areas. She joins mPress founding partners Gerry Schneiderman and Tina Moskin. mPress's business model is to align itself with top production and manufacturing resources to provide engraving, offset printing, thermography, embossing, foil stamping and die cutting for creative professionals.

New York NY: Scott Lucas returns to Interbrand as a group director for package design. Lucas began his career at the legendary Gerstman + Meyers, which has become part of Interbrand, working on accounts such as Procter & Gamble and General Motors. He left in 2000 to start his own firm, had a stint at Mittleman/Robinson, and now partners with managing director Steven Wright to manage Interbrand's New York-based packaging team.

PEnglewood NJ: As a senior designer for the past five years, Joseph Hom has produced numerous award-winning print and web designs for Ritta Associates' clients, such as BMW and Samsung Electronics. He has now been rewarded with the post of director of design & operations, where he supervises the design and production departments, coordinating print, e-marketing and web design projects. Prior to Ritta & Associates, Hom worked for John Waters, Inc., and for Ernst & Young.

New York NY: The Advertising Production Club of New York will present its inaugural APPY Award to two advertising production veterans on November 15. Victor Basile has been in the industry for 27 years, and is currently vice president, director of print graphic services, at Publicis/NY. Basile spent much of his career - 21 years, to be exact - at D'Arcy Advertising. Fellow honoree Neil O'Callaghan is senior vice president, technology, at AGT•Seven, one of the largest prepress and digital imaging companies in the world. The theme of his distinguished 25 year career is a focus on the profitable application of appropriate technology to the business of graphic communications. Club president Brad Mintz explains that "APPY" is an acronym for Advertising Production Person of the Year and that, henceforth, two people will be so honored each fall. Atlanta GA: The Atlanta chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute elects Terry Davis as president. Davis heads see see eye, one of the Southeast's most prolific annual report design and stakeholder relations firms. NIRI members include Coca-Cola, UPS, Georgia-Pacific and many of the region's most influential public companies.

New York NY: Pisarkiewicz Mazur has added Eric Palmerlee to its creative team. A designer, Palmerlee joins the brand consultancy to work on the New York State Restaurant Association, Calvary Hospital and Faith & Values Media accounts. He previously held design positions at Magnet Communications and Christopher Johnson Associates, both in New York City, where his assignments included Jet Blue, The New York Philharmonic, Channel One and Fetzer Vineyards. Founder and chief creative officer Mary Pisarkiewicz made the announcement.

Houston TX: Responding to the growing needs of existing clients, the strategic design and communication firm fd2s adds two key members to its Houston team. Senior graphic designer Jef Anderson was recently with Pressley Jacobs Design in Chicago, working on projects for clients including McDonald's, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Kemper Investments and Sabre. Nina Boyd joins fd2s from the international architecture firm Gensler, where she worked for more than five years as a project manager. In the same role for fd2s, she is responsible for overseeing the firm's day-to-day activities for clients including the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and the Methodist Hospital.

Columbus OH: RPA welcomes three new hires: Jeffrey Packard, as senior graphic designer, Carrie Keeneth, as senior environmental designer and Brandon King, as graphic designer. Packard oversees and directs graphic communication hierarchies, branding identities, environmental graphics and graphic presentations. Keeneth is helping to define the essence of Sprint's retail spaces by managing and creating sketches, color and material specifications. King works in conjunction with RPA's marketing/public relations department to develop brand collateral including advertising, direct mail, multimedia, photography and packaging. The 27 year old RPA describes itself as a "retail experience agency."

Minneapolis MN: Designer Patrick Redmond has been hired by Washburn Child Guidance Center, a leading Twin Cities mental health nonprofit, to assist with development and communications. Over a decades-spanning career, Redmond has worked for a diverse array of nonprofit and corporate clients, including Carlson Marketing Group, Gamble-Skogmo, Norwest (now Wells Fargo), numerous Minnesota colleges and universities, the American Cancer Society and the United Way. Redmond is a former president of AIGA Minnesota.
