"Styling Life" is the theme and title of VF Corporation's annual report. Designed by And Partners of New York, powerful imagery and lighthearted copy show how the company's branded apparel, including Lee, Wrangler, Jansport, Vanity Fair, Eastpak and more, helps people express their individuality. Credits go to creative director David Schimmel, designer Susan Brzozowski and executive photographer Vincent Ricardel.

Photos of emotional fans at Wrigley Field form a tribute to the importance to the forlorn Cubbies. Hired by Superstation WGN, design and branding studio Beehive created the spot to evoke a mood that is, as creative director Ada Whitney says, "poetic, nostalgic and moving." Michael Brouder is director of creative services for the client, while Lise Dupuis is the Beehive designer/animator.

Five illustrated posters rebrand the TriMet public transportation system as a provider of value and "livability" to their community. Dennis Hahn, an executive vp at ID, the branding firm that executed the project, says that the poster medium was chosen because it has a democratic and community-oriented feel. Painter Eric Bowman was the illustrator. Earlier, ID had redesigned TriMet buses and environmental graphics.

"People interacting with paper" is the theme of new packaging for Domtar business and publication papers, according to the director of strategic marketing initiatives, Scott Townsend. To communicate the human element, Domtar took the unusual step of tapping consumer packaging experts Desgrippes Gobé. Tom Davidson, design director at Desgrippes, says, "The use of silhouette illustrations of people reflects a lifestyle interaction with paper...The modern photography style captures personal home and business settings. Domtar's brand voice is carried through with actual quotes [that] act as a call to action with the product and add a level of humor and irreverence."

A hip insert campaign targeted at college students is a putting small, eclectic bookstore on the map. "Chicken Soup For The Eternally Damned Soul" probably won't show up in Borders' marketing, but it leads a series created for Wichita's Eighth Day Books by agency Sullivan Higdon & Sink. Credits go to designer Rachel Farha, associate creative directors Steve Hobson and P. Scott Flemming, and associate art director Ken Smith

Designers live in a frenzied world, and are often their own harshest critics in the pursuit of perfection. Understanding this, Noreen Morioka of AdamsMorioka chose images of Gerber daisies for this Adobe tradeshow booth to inspire renewed hope. A wheat grass bar encourages health of mind and body, and an interlocking card sculpture requiring attendee participation breeds a sense of community. Additional creative credits to Karen Tenenbaum Schneider, creative director, Adobe Systems.
