New York NY: Two world-class designers have formed a
creative alliance to formulate brand design programs
for prestige beauty and fragrance clients worldwide.
The collaboration is called Pierre Dinand + Tim Girvin:
Brand Design Masterworks. Each designer is well-known
in his own right: Dinand having designed nearly half
the perfume bottles manufactured in the world, including
the likes of Dior, YSL, Paco Rabanne, Rochas, Givenchy
and CK; and Girvin as a branding and identity guru known
for design work on nearly 300 Hollywood film, as well
as much retail identity work.

Cohasset MA: Award winning designers Doug Eymer and
Selene Carlo-Eymer have relaunched a firm in which they
are the principals, called EYMER. Their original firm,
Eymer Design, had been bought by PARTNERS+simons in
2000, where Doug spent the past three-and-a-half years
as a principal and creative director. Selene also contributed
to an assortment of PARTNERS+simons projects. The original
Eymer Design was established in 1989, and served a range
of clients including Lotus Development, Hasbro and Sapient,
among others, winning awards along the way from Graphic
Design usa, the AIGA, Communication Arts and others.
Current clients of the reincarnated EYMER include ATG,
The Environmental Solutions Group and several national
law firms.

John's University graduate ran CROD Productions. In
2002, Kanowitz partnered with the head athletic trainer
of the Los Angeles Lakers, Gary Vitti, to create SportsMedProducts.com,
an online venue where the weekend warrior can go to
purchase the same products that the best athletes in
the world use.

New York NY: Wolff Olins, an international brand consultancy,
has hired three new senior design executives: Todd Simmons,
Jordan Crane and Gerardo Vichich. Simmons is named design
director, reporting to managing director and chief creative
Karl Heiselman. His responsibilities encompass creative
management for branding and packaging programs, and
building and leading creative teams for clients PricewaterhouseCoopers,
NYC Marketing and Weil Gotshal & Manges. He most recently
ran his own studio, State, and once worked for Cahan
& Associates. Crane is a senior designer. He brings
a diversity of experience from a freelance career that
included work for Big (Ogilvy's branding unit), Comstock
and Wired Magazine. In 2000, he held the position of
art director for Lucid Circus, a Philadelphia-based
graphic design shop. Vichich, who joined Wolff Olins
earlier this summer, is a graphic designer with an international
flair, having grown up in Buenos Aires and worked in
the design field there until moving to New York City
in 1998. He has an MA from Pratt in packaging design,
and has been affiliated with The Arnell Group and Interbrand,
both in New York. Wolff Olins' global client roster
includes GE, Sun Microsystems, Staples, NYC Marketing,
Unilever, Carter's and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Tracy Kordon joins the creative department to manage
all creative projects for clients that include BankAnnapolis,
Baltimore Research, St. Joseph Medical Center and St.
Mary Medical Center. For the past five years, Kordon
worked as senior designer at Marriner Marketing Communications,
where she created materials for business to business
and retail clients. She is a former designer at CDB
Infotek and a University of Maryland College Park graduate.
Kordon also studied at the Maryland Institute College
of Art and the Art Center College of Art.

Lincoln NE: John Le has been promoted to interactive
designer at Swanson Russell Associates' Lincoln office.
He joined SRA in 2001 as a web designer. In his new
role, Le leads the interactive development department
in all design-related activities. He has been a graphic
designer at Automated Systems, Inc., and received a
graphic design degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Founded in 1962, Swanson Russell Associates is Nebraska's
largest marketing communications firm, with more than
$65 million in annual billings.

Columbus OH: With $185 million in billings, Ten United
has recruited Christine Ryan as creative director/design.
The new position involves brand strategy and development,
retail communications, collateral systems and interactive
branding for all accounts. Ryan has been a director
of design at Fitch Worldwide and, more recently, a principal
of CgRYAN:design. She holds a BA from UCLA and a BFA
from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Ten United
clients include Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Hoover
and Prestige Brands, among many others.

Miami FL: Looking to enter Hispanic marketing,
Dan Austin has founded Black Sheep Miami, an advertising
and direct marketing boutique agency. The agency launches
with a roster of three clients: American Express, VOY
Communications and Saf-T-Pay. Austin previously worked
at DDB and Pfizer in New York. Later, he headed up marketing
and consumer cards for American Express in Latin America.
He is joined in the venture by Alejandro Berbari, vice
president/creative director, a former regional creative
director of Ogilvy & Mather for Latino America
and head of his own agency, HBB; Sebastian Galbusera,
a design and interactive creative director whose clients
have included Oracle, Hewlett Packard and Citibank;
and Paulo Claussen, who brings years of direct mail,
loyalty and rewards experience from American Express
and Latin-ICE.

New York NY: Alamy Images names Andrew DeMattos
as the company's new general manager for North America.
Based in New York, DeMattos is responsible for driving
new business development, revenue and sales growth in
the US and Canada. This is a newly created position
and part of Alamy's worldwide expansion announced earlier
this year. Monica Hart, sales and marketing director
of Alamy worldwide, added, "This appointment demonstrates
Alamy's continuing commitment to customers in the US
and Canada." In addition to being a photographer,
DeMattos brings business development experience in the
creative, design and photographic industries at Corbis
and, before that, Teradon Industries.

New Orleans LA: Patrick Gallagher has been drafted
to inject a more experiential approach into the New
Orleans-based National World War II Museum. The former
D-Day Museum has announced plans to triple its size
over the next five years. Gallagher & Associates
will to create a series of exhibitions that tell personal
stories of the war years by marrying interactive technology
with artifacts and historical narrative. Interestingly,
Gallagher is currently designing the Visitors Center
for the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach in Normandy.

Denver CO: The branding and design consultancy,
Monigle Associates, has made a spate of recent promotions
among its brand strategy, graphic design, environmental
design and digital media staff. These include promotions
to managing directorships for Ben Dybas, Matt Filby,
Bob Koch and Suzie LaDuke. Other promotions announced
include Michael Herburger, who has been upped to senior
associate, and Jeff Byrd, Larry Dunn, Michael Loehr,
Michael Reinhardt and Michael Willey, all of whom have
been named associates.

converting facilities in Chicago, Charlotte, Miami,

Peter Schaffer, son of the founder, joined the firm

design company A52 announces that Mark Tobin, formerly
a producer for visual effects studio Method, has joined
its team as managing director and executive producer.
With Method since 2000, Tobin has worked on high-profile
accounts like Euro MVBMS' Blue Men for Intel and Wieden
+ Kennedy's "Roswell Rayguns" and "Streaker"
campaigns for Nike. A co-director and producer of W+K's
2002 AICP Visual Effects-honored Powerade "Wave"
spot, Tobin also has over ten years of experience as
a documentary editor for networks including PBS and
HBO, and he also cut numerous reality tv shows and music
videos for such notables as Pat Methany.

vice president at see see eye, a graphic design firm
that specializes in stakeholder communications. He brings
more than three decades of experience in corporate communications
consulting and management, having held posts at Coca-Cola,

for The Cincinnati Post after graduating in journalism
from the University of Dayton.
