Dell
Dell, needless to say, is a major provider of computers and information
technology infrastructure. Its climb to market leadership is
legendary, the result of a persistent focus on delivering quality
and affordability while selling directly to customers. The direct
model, asserts CEO Michael Dell, allows the company to better
understand its clients and build every system to order. The
company is making a concerted effort to better serve the creative
professional community with appropriate workstations, printers
and other products. Interestingly, in the traditionally Mac-oriented
world of design and publishing, Windows use among graphic designers — particularly,
in-house graphic design departments — is on the rise.
