Staff Stars In Hotel Campaign
Emotional images of staff members photographed
by Anne Liebovitz are at the heart of a $4
million print campaign for Peninsula Hotels.
AGENCYSACKS, which has a roster of upscale
clients, introduced the campaign with an eight
page insert in luxury, lifestyle, travel and
business magazines. Liebovitz was given free
rein to roam the hotels in Asia and America,
shooting wherever she wished.
Inspired by a TV Dinner
“This was the only time a client has
come to me and said ‘Make it look cheesy,’” says
Gabe Goldman, art director at the ad agency
General Public. The Jones Soda Co. Holiday
Pack includes five purposely terrible sounding
flavors such as Green Bean Casserole Soda and
Turkey & Gravy Soda. General Public’s
Goldman, along with designer Jared Strain,
found inspiration from tv dinners. The packs
were sold out within four hours and the package
design attracted attention from no less than
ABC’s “Regis & Kelly” and
ESPN’s Sportscenter.
Shoe Collateral Fits
Clean and sophisticated marketing collateral
is a nice fit for Adamo London’s upscale
shoes. Especially comfortable: pull out style
cards for each shoe and polish color. Chen
Design Associates developed the new identity,
branding and brochure, with Josh Chen serving
as art director, Max Spector and Jennifer
Tolo as designers, and Tolo doubling as copywriter.
Lifestyle photography by Karl Hedner, product
photography by Jessica Robinson.
