Methodologie's second annual report for Safeco is built on the insurance company's investor communications strategy of making its business more understandable, its financial disclosures more transparent and its annual report more readable. The 2004 annual contains absolutely no fluff, spin or extraneous information. It is all straight talk presented in clear writing and crisp design. Throughout the book, Methodologie uses bold, blunt headlines and clean, straightforward graphs to present Safeco's story to investors. Safeco is committed to making the Form 10-K easy to read for its large number of retail investors. Methodologie uses charts and graphs to illustrate Safeco's points throughout the 10-K and it is written in a direct, accessible style.
In 1988, Methodologie (then known as TeamDesign) was founded by Janet DeDonato and Bob Grindeland. In the 90s, TeamDesign acquired interactive expertise and added brand strategy to their services. In 2000, after being renamed, Methodologie joined forces with the Traver Company, founded by Anne Traver in 1976. Their services now include brand and identity development, investor communications, marketing collateral, and Web development and design. Working from the top floor of the historic Roffe building on the edge of Seattle's retail core, Methodologie is still committed to its core values - respect, integrity, collaboration, excellence and prosperity.
