Renée Korus joins Stand Advertising as brand development director — a new position at the Amherst NY agency. Korus oversees all account planning and research; she will also conduct new business research. The recent freelancer was educated at Cornell University, New York University and Portfolio Center.

Presstek has appointed a new chief marketing officer. Todd Chambers now directs Presstek's worldwide marketing from the company's Hudson NH headquarters. Chambers previously held the same position at Onyx Software.

Cimbrian, a Lancaster PA information technology and marketing communications firm, taps Kelly Albert-Dantinne to head its new design division. Albert-Dantinne will serve under the titles of vice president and creative design director. Previously, Albert-Dantinne founded and ran Albert/Bogner Design Communications.

Congratulations, Kelly Brunie. Brunie was recently promoted to art director at Falk Harrison Creative. The Washington University alum and experienced designer first joined the firm in 2004 as assistant art director.

Daniela Patterson is one of the latest hires at LPK. Patterson, who holds a M.B.A. from University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, joins the Olay team as brand design strategist.

Austin-based fd2s adds Robert A. Bernardini as engagement director, with responsibility for managing integrated wayfinding projects for clients across the U.S. The job focuses especially on medical centers and hospitals. The environmental graphic designer oversaw signage and wayfinding at the Texas Children's Hospital in Houston and headed the graphic design department at Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum.

Dianne Romano returns to the German paper manufacturer Scheufelen as the sales and specification manager for the New York Metro region. In that role, Romano will develop product specification with key designers, printers and end-users, as well as handle local distributors. Romano has been with Scheufelen for a total of 12 years.

The Outdoor Advertising Association of America named William J. Ludwig the chief judge of the 2007 Obie Awards. He will lead the seven-member jury panel for the competition. Ludwig, an executive vice president and creative director at Campbell-Ewald, developed the "Quality of Life Insight" that drives the strategic planning process and creative philosophy of his firm.
