REROUTING A CANDY BRAND
Gourmet confectioner Route 29, Napa, knows that the candy market is as competitive as it is
sweet. Understanding this challenge, the company tapped HartungKemp to create a new look for its
overall brand and consumer packages. Led by Stefan Hartung, the design firm created an integrated
system running the gamut from package structure to product naming to colorful package illustrations.
“Our caramels and chocolates have never looked so tasty,” says Route 29, Napa owner
Kim Kalan. In addition to Stefan Hartung, creative credits go to Designers Devon Adrian and Carisa
Flaherty, and Copywriter Brian Beatty.
