Churchman, the Principal of Designlore and an Assistant Professor of Fine Arts,
Communication Design, at the University of Pennsylvania, is being recognized for
her long and meaningful contribution to design. Prior to founding Designlore, she
spent some 20 years in branding and corporate design for clients including IBM,
Goldman Sachs, Museum of American Folk Art and COMEX. Now, through Designlore,
her focus is on non-profit and cultural projects.

Draftfcb Chicago Managing Director Karen Sauder has been recognized by the Chicago
Advertising Federation as a woman who “personifies the many contributions women
have made to the Chicago and global ad communities.” A St. Louis native, Sauder
joined Draftfcb in 2007 after years at ad and promotions agency Zipatoni, Frito-Lay
and beginning her career in 1990 at Anheuser-Busch.

Smith joins VMA from MINDVOLT in Athens, Alabama, where he was Senior
Designer/Art Director. While at MINDVOLT, he won some 11 awards including
a 2006 bronze Telly and a 2005 Gold District Addy. Smith is a graduate of Auburn
University where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in business.

An academic scholar and administrator with two decades of experience, Stewart is now
responsible for leading Pratt’s largest school. It has more than 3,000 undergraduate
and graduate students in 15 degree programs, many ranked nationally in the top ten. Stewart
is published widely on subjects relating to communications, education and technology, and
holds a doctorate from Rutgers and a master’s from The New School.

and afternoon luncheon held in the Governor’s mansion.
