JENNIFER MORLA
AIGA 2010 MEDALIST

Jennifer Morla has won an AIGA 2010 Medal, arguably the highest honor in the graphic design world. Morla heads up Morla Design, which she formed in 1984 in San Francisco. She lectures internationally and teaches at California College of the Arts. Along the way she served as Chief Creative Officer at Design Within Reach, where she was responsible for the branding and identity of the catalog and stores. Morla takes the medal honors with Steve Frykholm, Herman Miller's first inhouse graphic designer, and 40 years later is the iconic furniture maker's creative director and vice president; and John Maeda, president of the Rhode Island School of Design. The trio will be presented their James Earle Fraser-designed medals early next year at the AIGA Design Legends Gala.
