What made you decide to go to design school?
I didn’t know much about the design industry before coming to CMU. I had always loved painting and photography, so I wanted to do something visual. I saw design as a way to apply visual disciplines and creative problem solving to improve people’s lives.
Has it been a positive experience?
Definitely. Studying design has allowed me to meet so many wonderful people, and it’s become a part of who I am. My experience at CMU exploring the ways design encompasses both crafting fine details as well as creating entire experiences has been very enriching for me, and hopefully prepared me for an exciting career.
