Dennis Ryan
CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER, OLSON, MINNEAPOLIS MN AND CHICAGO IL
Dennis Ryan has been hired as Chief Creative Officer, a new position, at OLSON. The oft-awarded Ryan joins the 400-person agency from Chicago’s Element 79, where he was partner and creative head. During his illustrious career, he has also served as Executive Creative Director at JWT, working on Dell, Blockbuster “and every last variety of Kraft cheese,” along with heading JWT’s international creative council. Before that, he spent more than a dozen working years at DDB, leading major clients like Budweiser, Bud Light, Frito-Lay and Discover Card. A Notre Dame alum, Ryan is relocating to Minneapolis, but during the next year, he will be spending one day a week helping to drive integration at the agency’s Chicago office. The announcement was made by CEO Kevin DiLorenzo, who describes his firm as “holistic by design” and “providing brand anthropology and strategy, advertising, mobile, interactive, social engagement, public relations, design, media and one-to-one for the world’s most respected brands.”
Tiffany Rolfe + Jason Gaboriau

Crispin Porter + Bogusky has appointed Tiffany Rolfe and Jason Gaboriau as joint Executive Creative Directors of the agency’s burgeoning Los Angeles office. Rolfe moves over from CP + B in Boulder CO, where she steered the Old Navy account and contributed to a range of other business. Gaboriau was co-founder and creative head of New York agency Amalgamated. He announced he was leaving the shop in the fall. Rolfe and Gaboriau take up residence in the LA office in April, with the agency moving into a new space in the summer. The latest creative appointments mark another phase of growth for CP + B, which first expanded outside of its Miami headquarters in 2001, when it opened an outpost in Los Angeles. The agency then opened its Boulder co-headquarters in 2006. This is CP+B’s second attempt to establish a full-service agency on the West Coast; the office will handle the Old Navy, Bolthouse Farms’ Baby Carrots and some Microsoft business to begin with.
Bruce Henderson

Bruce Henderson joins G2 in the newly created role of Chief Creative Officer for North America. Henderson is responsible for leading the agency’s creative across all areas, including Branding & Design and Digital/ Interactive Marketing. Most recently, he was at Ogilvy, New York, where he rose to Group Creative Director during his eight-year stay. A writer by vocation, Henderson also is a published non-fiction author, writer of magazine articles and singer/songwriter. G2 is a top five marketing services agency.
Gary Whitlock
Executive Creative Director

Marsh Inc. adds Gary Whitlock, formerly of LPK and Interbrand, to a newly created position of Executive Creative Director. As part of an overall growth strategy for the design agency, Whitlock’s mission is to guide and reshape Marsh’s creative efforts, with key responsibility for new business development, internal workflow and creative staff development. Whitlock, most recently Director of Brand Strategy at Chase Design and SALT Branding, focused on domestic and global consumer packaged goods and retail work for Fortune 500 companies. At LPK and Interbrand, Whitlock held senior creative positions as well. Marsh Chief Operating Officer Alan Roth says: “Gary is not only highly capable and amazingly talented, but his deep understanding of neuroscience and its impact on how people create, ideate and make decisions makes him unusually qualified to help further differentiate the Marsh offering.” Whitlock, trained as a psychotherapist, has an MS in Counseling from the School of Behavioral Sciences at Loma Linda University, a BA in Psychology and Religion from Walla Walla College and went on to study design at the Art Center College of Design. He splits his time between Marsh in Cincinnati and San Francisco.
Kim Hutchinson

ADG Creative adds Kim Hutchinson as Senior Art Director to its Columbia MD operations. Hutchinson brings seven years of proven performance and broad experience in both conventional and new media design. She has designed brand elements, websites, brochures, and other marketing materials for highly recognized clients including Master-Card, The African Alliance for a Green Revolution and Best Buy. Hutchinson has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications from Andrews University in Berrien Springs MI.
