Cutting-edge technologies are being used to make the most remarkable athlete just that much better. The way sports’ gear is engineered is just as important as how it is branded.
With this in mind, what!design created these catalogs to make it easy for retailer merchandisers to explore Reebok’s vast inflatables product line (footballs, basketballs, etc) and baseball gear (bats, shoes, etc), to best showcase the advanced materials and innovations created by Reebok. Each product has to tell a story of how it was engineered to perform ‒ to show why a celebrity athlete would endorse a particular product beyond just looking cool. The catalog’s use of vivid photography makes the high-tech product line easy for retailers to grasp the engineering advantages of Reebok’s products ‒ to help influence retailer buyers what to include in their merchandise inventory, and how to tout the features and benefits to their customers. After all, notes agency Creative Director Damon Meibers, “a one-hundredth of a second edge is sometimes all that’s needed to beat an opponent.”
