Katie Carrothers

UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI,
COLLEGE OF DESIGN, ARCHITECTURE,
ART AND PLANNING (DAAP)

Katie says: “I was attracted to the field of design because I love to learn about new topics and solve complex problems. My favorite part of design is the process because I think it tells the richest story. I live my life in constant cycles of travel. I’ve co-oped in Cincinnati, Boston, and Chicago. I have a passion for volunteering and have been involved in a student service organization throughout college. I’ve participated in alternative break trips to El Salvador, Peru, and Guatemala and will be heading to Nicaragua this Spring. I also teach gymnastics to children. I’m a child at heart and I wish I could be surrounded by kids at all times. I love all things active but my life revolves around two hobbies: running and yoga. I'm a sucker for quotes, sunsets, and all things purple. I can’t get enough coffee mugs, watches, or friendship bracelets. I call my mom everyday and consider Target a second home. I laugh at almost everything and strive to wear at least three patterns at once. I live by one motto: when in doubt, cute it out.”
